Leicester Archery Academy was established in 2005 to practice and promote the traditional skills of archery. The club is run in accordance with the rules of the national governing body for the sport, Archery GB. The club is also affiliated to the regional organisations, the East Midlands Archery Association (EMAS) and the Leicestershire & Rutland County Association (LRCAA).

The club has been featured in was featured in Archery UK Magazine and also local newspapers (see below).

In 2022, we were nominated and went on to win the ontarget Community Club of the year Award.

Leicester Archery Academy has been since November 2012 a Community Specialist Club, under the Archery GB Ontarget Development programme. This was reconfirmed in June 2023.
