If you have done an introductory course at any recognised Archery GB club you can become a member of the club for an annual membership fee. Further details can be found here.

Archery GB Mentors and Ambassadors Programme

Our coach Mohamed Patel is one of eight Mentors signed up to the Archery GB Ambassador and Mentor Programme. His part of a new team to share passion and enthusiasm for archery and looking forward to helping raise the profile of the sport and to help increase and grow participation within the club and wider afield.

County records

Abdullah Zaman set a new County Record for Barebow at the LRCAA Junior Shoot at Bowmen of Glen on 4th May 2015. He shot 452 on the Short Junior National Round. Well done to Abdullah.

Yusuf Ali currently holds a number of County records. Check them all out on the LRCAA website under the Junior Gents U14 Recurve category.

Achievements

Yusuf Ali (13) becomes our most successful archer.  Having started shooting at the age of six, he has successfully progressed to win local, regional and national tournaments. Just in 2019 alone he has achieved Junior Master Bowman and shot for England to win in Indoor Home Nations Competition.

 

He has been selected to shoot for:

Ø  Regional (East Midlands) EMAS squad

Ø  England at National Home Nations tournament

Ø    Recently he has gained sponsorship by Merlin Archery as a Merlin Ambassador.

Of the many achievements he is currently:

Ø  Leicestershire & Rutland Outdoor Junior Gents Champion

Ø  EMAS Junior Inter-Counties Highest Scoring Recurve Gent

Ø  EMAS Regional Indoor Champion

Ø  National Indoor Champion

He is currently on the Archery GB National Age Group Academy. One to surely watch out for the Olympics!
